So I just made a usb, partitioned the drive myself and booting from the installer by holding alt before the bootchime. The following guide explains a workaround for resolving this issue. I removed my optical drive years ago and bootcamp requires you use a blank DVD if your Mac originally came with an optical drive. Windows 7 does not include default USB3 drivers, so when restoring Windows 7 Boot Camp to newer Mac hardware that relies on USB3 for keyboard and mouse, you may find no user input control to proceed with installing Boot Camp drivers.
KEYBOARD DOESNT WORK FOR WINDOWS 7 BOOTCAMP MAC INSTALL
I did not use “boopcamp” to install Windows as it wasn’t possible.

Note: You may need to press and hold the Fn key as. Use your Apple keyboard: Press the increase brightness key or the decrease brightness key. In the list on the left, click Display, then set brightness options as desired. To get it to stop blue-screening after login I had to delete 2 files from system32 that were installed by bootcamp. In Windows on your Mac, do one of the following: Use Windows: Click the Start button, choose Settings, then click System. On a side note both these things work fine in Linux, so there must be a open source driver for them somewhere.maybe someone ported it to Windows? Also I ran an older build of Win10 on here for over 3years and never had these issues.

The keyboard keys do nothing at all, the screen brightness slider in windows does nothing, and windows doesn’t even seem to be aware that I have a backlit keyboard. Installed the drivers from the bootcamp image, and got the GPU drivers from nvidia.Įverything runs fine except my screen brightness is at 100% and I cannot change it, and my keyboard backlight is off and I cannot change it. I have a mid 2010 15” MacBook Pro it’s a (6,2) I believe.Īnyway I just did a fresh install of the latest release of Windows 10.
